4K AMD/NVIDIA High-End GPU Comparison On SteamOS Linux

Similar to the 1080p tests of last week, the AMD results on SteamOS remain a disaster compared to the NVIDIA benchmarks... At 4K, the Radeon R9 290 and R9 Fury were running at around the speed of a GeForce GTX 950. For running this game fluidly at 4K, a GeForce GTX 970 or better would be recommended.

When looking at the performance-per-cost results at 4K, they become a bit muddled as not all of the cards are now pushing above 60 FPS averages so while they may be cost effective, it would be a poor Linux gaming experience.

To no surprise, the higher-end GeForce GTX 900 series graphics cards deliver the best performance-per-Watt at 4K for this eON-ported game.
