NVIDIA GeForce 6100
Looking over the results, even between the GeForce 6100 and 6600GT there is a large performance delta. In many of the games, the GeForce 6100 frame-rate made the game unplayable. Out of the four Linux-native games used for testing, Enemy Territory was the only one to offer a playable environment. The GeForce 6100 IGP is designed of course not to be a gamer's best friend but for the entry-level segment looking for a media or HTPC setup. The purpose of the article was due to the fact that many users will use the system for more than one task, so for those looking to extend this HTPC media-oriented Chipset into the gaming arena, they may find that difficult. The GeForce 6100/nForce 410 does of course boast support for PCI Express x16 graphics cards. When it comes to other Linux notes with the GeForce 6100 series and nForce 410/430, there has been a great deal of discussion about problems with XvMC and other video enhancement features lacking within the proprietary NVIDIA Linux drivers, as well as a few hardware conflicts we had noted in the ASRock 939NF4G-SATA2 review.
