Intel's Clear Linux remains the fastest operating system that we have tested for AV1 decoding with VideoLAN's dav1d. Windows 10 yielded the slowest dav1d performance on this Lenovo Flex laptop with the exception of the summer nature 1080p scene.

Clear Linux also led with the SVT-AV1 video encode tests while the Windows performance was comparable to distributions like Fedora and Manjaro.

Windows tended to hold its ground well against the Linux distributions in the other video encode benchmarks.
