Similar to the Golang benchmarks, the OpenJDK Java performance between Windows 10 and the Linux distributions on the AMD Ryzen laptop tended to be comparable with the actual positioning being dependent upon the particular workloads.

Windows 10 yielded great Zstd compression performance at the lowest compression levels but when maximizing the compression ratio Windows 10 came in last while Intel's Clear Linux had a slight edge.

Windows 10 was also losing out to the Linux distributions in the John The Ripper performance.
