AMD Threadripper 3990X + RX 5700 XT System76 Thelio Major Performance After 2 Years

When looking at the CPU performance over the past two years with the Ryzen Threadripper 3990X, there tended to be evolutionary gains but not the dramatic margins seen when looking at the Radeon graphics performance over the same time span.

GCC compiler advancements, the continuously improving Linux kernel, and other software updates have lifted the AMD Threadripper 3990X / Zen 2 performance in various areas over the past two years.

In some areas though there is lower performance as a result of these changes.
