AMD Ryzen 9 3900X vs. Intel Core i9 9900K Performance In 400+ Benchmarks

Let's begin with some of the highlights from the CPU/system benchmarking. Towards the end of this section of the article is a look at all of the results with a measurable difference between the rigs.

When it came to a few of the basic I/O tests, the Ryzen 9 3900X was showing stronger performance. Again, both systems were running Ubuntu 19.10 + Linux 5.3 off the same Optane 900p NVMe SSD.

With NAS Parallel Benchmarks these tests out of NASA were certainly a mixed bag.

For HPC Challenge's HPL performance, the Core i9 9900K clocked a 33% advantage over the Ryzen 9 3900X.

But when it came to some of HPC Challenge's sub-tests, the Ryzen 9 3900X was at least competitive and winning a few.
