Under FIO Linux I/O benchmarks, the Samsung SM961 NVMe SSD was obviously the fastest in those benchmarks while the PNY CS900 was routinely the fastest (by a small margin) of the SATA SSDs benchmarked.

The PNY SSD also was performing well in FS-Mark along with the Silicon Power drive.
