Examination:

All adjustments to these four laser LEDs are made from the Chameleon controller. On the front of the brushed aluminum panel are three dials along with an on/off switch. These dials are for respectively adjusting the intensity of red, green, and blue in the LEDs. The on/off switch controls power to the unit and is a simple rocker switch. On the rear of the SunbeamTech Chameleon panel are four 4-pin connectors to connect to each of the LED lamps.

Providing power to the unit is a simple 4-pin molex connector. Looking at the four LED lasers, they can be titled and swiveled in almost any direction so you can be sure to achieve the proper lighting effect. At the end of the unit, SunbeamTech includes a lens that claims to help focus the light but in our testing we found the lens to be pretty much useless. Unfortunately, the standard mounting method for the Chameleon laser LEDs is using double-sided Velcro tape. The mounting method may be fast and easy, but after time the tape is prone to wear off and when it comes to removing the SunbeamTech Chameleon it may be rather difficult without leaving behind some sticky residue. To allow for the adjustments in color intensity, inside each of the laser LEDs are actually three smaller LEDs. These LEDs are red, green, and blue so when an adjustment is made to one of the color dials on the panel, the respective LED in all four of the laser units simply changes. Another one of the nice touches to most of SunbeamTech's products is that they sleeve all of the cables, this holds true for the Chameleon wires.
