How Ubuntu 16.04 Is Performing Compared To Five Other Linux Distributions
Fedora 23 was slower than the rest at the Multichase pointer chaser benchmark.
Clear Linux, Ubuntu 15.10/16.04, and Fedora 23 were out in front for a light PostgreSQL database server benchmark while the CentOS 7 and openSUSE 42.1 releases were noticeably slower.
This was similar when doing a smaller buffer test with PostgreSQL as well.
The newer Linux distributions were also faster than openSUSE and CentOS when it came to the OpenSSL benchmark.
