There wasn't too much scaling in the results at 1080p for Metro 2033 Redux with the NVIDIA GTX 900 Maxwell graphics cards with the GTX 950 already delivering sufficient frame-rates at 1080p. Again, on the previous page is a link for 4K results for those interested. Sadly, the AMD performance still can't match NVIDIA with the Radeon GPUs tested -- including the Fiji HBM based R9 Fury -- performing short of a budget GTX 750 Ti card!

When looking at the performance-per-dollar based on the current pricing, the GTX 750 Ti was the leader for 1080p Metro 2033 Redux. The GTX 750 Ti had a 97 FPS average, which should be fine when factoring in dips in performance, while following it was the aging Kepler GTX 760 and then the GTX 950.

With Metro Last Light Redux there is at least more scaling with the results. The AMD hardware for this demanding Linux game had the R9 290 and R9 Fury just frames ahead of the GTX 750 Ti... It's sad that Radeon Software Crimson still doesn't improve the Linux gaming situation.

The GeForce GTX 950 is a nice bargain card for 1080p gaming with most current-generation games while the GTX 960 can deliver more headroom moving forward.
