Wine 3.10 vs. Ubuntu 18.04 vs. Windows 10 Desktop Performance
FFmpeg video encoding was another test case where Wine was again much slower than the native Windows/Linux builds, perhaps due to the I/O involved in these tests compared to the pure CPU test cases where Wine is much more competitive.
In the Libjpeg-Turbo's JPEG benchmark, the three test configurations performed nearly the same.
Running some synthetic benchmarks with OSBench, we see the time to create files is massively slower under Wine than under Windows or Ubuntu.
The thread creation performance is also slower with Wine, but not by nearly as much as when disk access is involved.
The memory allocation performance wasn't that much slower either with Wine compared to Windows 10.
