Windows 10 Creators WSL vs. Clear Linux vs. Ubuntu 17.04
GraphicsMagick is also showing a decent performance out of WSL on Windows 10.
PostgreSQL was running just as a buffer test and thus shouldn't have been using much disk I/O but its performance was noticeably lower than Ubuntu 17.04. Clear Linux was the fastest though with its aggressive compiler defaults, etc.
Redis was also showing rather low performance with WSL.
Under the PHPBench benchmark, Windows 10 Creators Update WSL was performing well.
Overall this WSL feature in Windows 10 continues working out well and in a number of purely CPU-focused workloads the performance is very close to that of native Ubuntu but continues to struggle in some I/O workloads and elsewhere.
