Windows 10 Pro vs. Five Linux Distributions In Various Benchmarks
First up were the Go language benchmarks. Windows 10 and Fedora 27 tended to be near the rear while Clear Linux and Solus were leading at the front. Where Windows 10 performed particularly bad was with the Go build test.
The Java performance when using Java 8 across the tested platforms was mostly uneventful. As would be expected, the performance was roughly the same with minor variations in the tests.
When it came to the 7-Zip compression performance, Windows 10 was slightly slower than the Linux distributions while Clear Linux was the frontrunner.
