These 30 PCI-E graphics cards are a very interesting round-up of hardware and spans several generations and pretty much the diverse selection of what's currently supported by the latest mainline AMD and NVIDIA graphics drivers. All testing happened from the AMD FX-8350 "Bulldozer" system with Ubuntu 14.04 LTS in its current development state with the Linux 3.13 kernel.

Benchmarks were facilitated in a fully automated and reproducible manner using the Phoronix Test Suite software and OpenBenchmarking.org. If you have any other Ubuntu 14.04 benchmark requests -- or Linux test requests at large -- feel free to let us know!

These results are mostly in line with expectations and namely being put out there for reference purposes. If you want to see how your own Linux desktop system compares against these thirty different AMD/NVIDIA graphics cards, it's very easy to do so via the Phoronix Test Suite by simply running phoronix-test-suite benchmark 1403054-PL-UBUNTU14019 to automatically fetch all of our test data (including system logs, etc) and the Phoronix Test Suite will then go automatically download all of the tests, set them up in the same manner we used for our tests, and then run the benchmarks and show the results side-by-side to the data to be shown in this article. It's that easy, all automated, all open-source, and enterprise rated.
