With Urban Terror, the advantage in Urban Terror for Catalyst was only 2.5x faster.

We next turned to the 2D performance via GtkPerf. For one test, finally, the open-source Radeon driver stack with kernel mode-setting had beat out the proprietary driver. However, as we shared before, AMD is in the process of using their Direct2D acceleration code on Linux, which once finalized may allow the Catalyst driver to regain the superior edge over the xf86-video-ati driver using EXA for its 2D acceleration.

While the open-source side had a win with the GtkComboBox test, with the GtkRadioButton the tables flipped and Catalyst came out ahead.
