With the move from Ubuntu 14.10 to Ubuntu 15.04, EXT4 is still the default file-system but there's the current version bump from Linux 3.16 to 3.18. For the 15.04 debut in April, Linux 3.19 will be incorporated. With 3.18, there isn't any huge EXT4 file-system performance swings for this 128GB Samsung SSD.

In a few tests, there's minor performance improvements, but no across the board changes.
