When running LuxCore with CPU rendering the AMD Ryzen 5 4500U laptop saw much greater uplift on Linux while the Tiger Lake results were closer between the two operating systems.

With the Assembly-tuned asmFish chess benchmark there was a greater improvement with Tiger Lake on Windows but the mid-range Ryzen 5 Renoir notebook delivered better performance on both operating systems.

When looking at the AVIF image encode performance on both notebooks, at the highest encode level (lowest speed), Ubuntu 20.10 was much faster than Windows 10 but as the encode speed increased the results between Windows and Linux evened out.
