Ryzen 3 Linux Gaming Benchmarks: NVIDIA vs. AMD Radeon
While in the OpenGL/Vulkan benchmarks from a few days ago the Radeon performance was rather low, in these results for these OpenGL-only Linux games the performance appears much better and more competitive with the NVIDIA competition. The default CPUFreq Ondemand governor was used during testing; though in a future article will have some fresh Ryzen CPUFreq numbers from Linux 4.13 although the impact tends to be far less than what we have seen with Intel P-State. The low Radeon results in the previous article are thus likely a Mesa regression.
The Ryzen 3 1300X tends to offer slightly more performance for about $20 more than the Ryzen 3 1200.
