It will be interesting to see how far ahead the Ryzen 9 9900X and Ryzen 9 9950X take things next week compared to Intel Raptor Lake Refresh. For some of these HPC workloads they really enjoy 3D V-Cache too as we await any announcements around Ryzen 9000 X3D parts.

For the Nginx web server there was nice generational uplift and better efficiency for those using the desktop chips in any SOHO-type budget servers. The Intel Raptor Lake Refresh processors remained competitive in the basic HTTPS web serving.

Zen 5 was approaching the Intel Raptor Lake Refresh processors in their Apache HTTPD web server performance.

The Cryptsetup benchmarks showed very great crypto performance improvements out of Zen 5.
