RADV vs. AMDGPU-PRO Vulkan Performance vs. OpenGL In May 2017

Now for those wondering how AMDGPU-PRO OpenGL and RadeonSI Gallium3D fall into the mix...

With these side-by-side OpenGL results, we see the fastest Dota 2 configuration tested was Vulkan with AMDGPU-PRO. RadeonSI OpenGL though does very well and with the exception of the RX 580 is close to the AMDGPU-PRO Vulkan levels. RadeonSI was faster than AMDGPU-PRO OpenGL for this Valve game.

The Dota 2 4K results seem to show the RX 580 having OpenGL performance regressions too compared to our earlier RX 580 launch testing, so may be a regression in the Linux 4.12 code. RadeonSI and AMDGPU-PRO Vulkan were the winners still in this 4K testing.

The CPU utilization was generally lower when using the Vulkan drivers over OpenGL.
