RadeonSI OpenGL vs. RADV Vulkan Performance For Mad Max
Next up are the results with the "very high" preset at 1080p.
And lastly the "normal" results at 4K:
In one of the scenes (stronghold), the RADV Vulkan results come out substantially faster than RadeonSI OpenGL on both the R9 Fury and RX 480. In the other scenes, the Vulkan and OpenGL performance is close. But this still speaks volumes considering the RADV driver has traditionally performed slower than RadeonSI with other native Linux games. The NVIDIA Vulkan results should be interesting and I'll have those available soon as a large Maxwell/Pascal comparison finishes followed by some Intel Kabylake results.
