Warhammer II was also performing better -- noticeably in some cases -- with RADV over AMDVLK on these tested Polaris and Vega graphics cards.
If looking at the harmonic mean of all the FPS data collected, the RADV driver stack was about 15% faster than AMDVLK for all of the games that successfully ran on both drivers. With the Radeon RX Vega 64, the RADV lead over AMDVLK shrunk to about a 5% advantage, but there were also games running fine with RADV like F1 2018 and DiRT Rally 2.0 with Steam Play where AMDVLK ran into issues. This is some of the most competitive performance we've seen out of the Mesa RADV driver to date, which is good since Google is expected to be using RADV with Stadia, while in the case of AMDVLK part of its poor showing today appears to be at least some regressions affecting Polaris.
