AMDVLK vs. RADV Radeon Vulkan Driver Performance For Linux Gaming On Ubuntu 19.04
The recently released DiRT Rally 2.0 has been running great under Steam Play / DXVK, but unfortunately not with AMDVLK. RADV has been running great for weeks but when trying AMDVLK, the game quickly hung.
When firing up Dota 2 with its long-standing Vulkan renderer, the AMDVLK performance for the RX 590 was much lower than what's seen out of RADV currently. The RX Vega 64 performance was the same to slightly leaning in favor of AMDVLK by a frame or two.
Dawn of War III meanwhile is seeing RADV perform much better with RADV than AMDVLK but Mesa 19.1-devel currently regresses the performance compared to Mesa 19.0.
