First up was Batman: Arkham Knight as one of the original benchmark-friendly games that was working well with Valve's Steam Play for running Windows games on Linux. Given that it can run at a playable frame-rate on even the GeForce GTX 1060, it's an interesting candidate still for testing with this RX 6600 review. The Radeon RX 6600 in this first game test saw it coming around the same speed as the GeForce RTX 3060 and just behind the Radeon RX Vega 56. The RX 6600 was also coming out successfully ahead of the prior generation Radeon RX 5600 XT.

The Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards including the RX 6600 were coming out well in front of the NVIDIA Ampere graphics cards for power efficiency with this Proton-using game.

DiRT Rally 2.0 is another game that runs well on Valve's Steam Play for running Windows games on Linux. With this game at 2560 x 1080 and ultra quality settings, the Radeon RX 6600 was well ahead of the RTX 3060 along with the RX 5600 XT and RX Vega 56. The RX 6600 performance is double that of the popular GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card.

The performance-per-dollar is also leading with the RDNA2 graphics cards assuming you can find them available for close to suggested pricing.
