The third video shows how easy it is to compare results, not from reference systems, but from results found on Phoronix Global. Within seconds of finding a set of test results on Phoronix Global from a friend, co-worker, or anyone else, you can enter that Phoronix Global ID into the Phoronix Test Suite GUI and then the program is on its way to installing the test(s) and then carrying out the testing. When the testing is done, your results are shown side-by-side with the other set of results. You can then upload your results back to Phoronix Global so that others can compare their results against yours. It really is that easy!

Well, that about covers the basics of PTS Desktop Live and its inaugural release, 2009.3 Gernlinden. PTS Desktop Live 2009.3 will be available for download (via our partners at Softpedia.com) beginning next Tuesday, the 4th of August, along with Phoronix Test Suite 2.0. Any questions or feedback for any of our software can be directed to our forums, mailing list, or by contacting us. For more information visit Phoronix-Test-Suite.com.

Whether you work for an ISV or IHV, are an independent developer, or simply a hobbyist/enthusiast, we hope that you find PTS Desktop Live 2009.3 and Phoronix Test Suite 2.0 incredibly useful. Before long, we will begin sharing our public plans for Phoronix Test Suite 2.2 "Bardu" and PTS Desktop Live 2009.4 "Loderhof", so stay tuned.
