The OpenSSL performance on POWER9 was mixed against the AMD/Intel CPUs with the dual 18-core system failing to outperform the EPYC 7601.

The dual 18-core POWER9 system was managing to compete with the dual Xeon Gold server for the PostgreSQL database benchmarking.

AMD EPYC and IBM POWER9 still lag behind Intel with the Python language performance.

POWER9 only came in line with the AMD EPYC hardware for the PHP language performance.
