As can be seen from the side-by-side comparison, much of the gains come from Vulkan-based tests where thanks to using Mesa 20.2 is a big performance upgrade for AMD Radeon graphics hardware. In particular with RADV now defaulting to the ACO compiler back-end there are large speed-ups for the RADV Vulkan driver on Mesa 20.2 compared to 20.0.
