Benchmarking OpenMandriva's AMD Ryzen Optimized Linux Distribution On The Threadripper 3970X
This next set of results off the Threadripper 3970X are more x86_64 vs. Znver1 OpenMandriva data points and also the Znver1 results when switching to the Clang-built kernel option offered new on Openmandriva 4.1.
The OpenMandriva packages built with Znver1 optimizations weren't helping out for the graphics performance. The Clang built kernel wasn't offering any measurable performance difference either, but that itself is a feat considering how long the Linux kernel has been intertwined with GCC-isms it is great to see the Clang-built kernel standing up well on recent releases paired with the latest LLVM toolchain.
