OpenMandriva 4.1 to some surprise was racking up some first place finishes against the other platforms tested, but between the Znver1 and x86_64 builds of the operating system the performance basically amounted to being the same with this particular set of benchmarks.

PHP performance is one of the areas Clear Linux has optimized well given the presence of Intel Xeon CPUs for web servers and they achieved dramatically better performance than the rest thanks to profile guided optimizations for their PHP package. Meanwhile OpenMandriva with their Znver1 optimizations didn't pay off for their PHP package and this Threadripper 3970X performance yielded the lowest performance of the Linux distributions tested.

OpenMandriva 4.1 was overall performing in line with the other Linux distributions for these system package focused benchmarks. Intel's Clear Linux meanwhile was still yielding the best performance with this set of tests on the Ryzen Threadripper 3970X.
