The Graphics Cards On Open-Source Linux Drivers With The Best Value + Power Efficiency
While the NVC0 Gallium3D driver has OpenGL 4.1 support, the Nouveau driver stack wasn't working with Metro 2033/Last-Light Redux but only the RadeonSI hardware.
The RadeonSI stack had troubles running the demanding Metro 2033 game at more than 30 FPS. The Radeon R9 285 Tonga was only running at 8 FPS due to its lack of re-clocking support on the current AMDGPU kernel driver.
The R7 370 came out ahead of the R9 290 for delivering the better value.
The R7 370 also won when it came to power efficiency.
Metro Last Light results were similar to the 2033 Redux results, obviously.
