Even With Re-Clocking, Nouveau Remains Behind NVIDIA's Proprietary Linux Driver

The NVIDIA Fermi hardware and older of what was tested was not able to run Xonotic at a playable frame-rate at 1080p.

With the GTX 650 and its full re-clocking, Nouveau ran Unigine Sanctuary at 59% the speed of the proprietary NVIDIA 340.24 Linux graphics driver.

There's a way to go for Nouveau to delivering decent re-clocking support and performance, but at least they're still moving in the right direction and doing well given that there's limited support from NVIDIA Corp. Stay tuned for the open-source Radeon Gallium3D vs. closed-source Catalyst benchmarks later this week.
