The Initial Performance Of NVIDIA's R515 Open-Source Linux GPU Kernel Driver
For the most part the performance for Linux gaming was very close between these two different kernel drivers.
It was refreshing to see similar performance for the most part and with really being unsure of the performance expectations going into it since NVIDIA did clearly communicate to me that it was alpha quality, etc. Besides the performance being fine for most of the games, there weren't any other issues encountered during the light testing thus far.
But in some games like Quake II RTX, there became a clear trend there of the default proprietary driver consistently offering slightly better performance than the current open-source driver.
