macOS 12.1 vs. Ubuntu vs. Clear Linux vs. Windows Benchmarks

Across these various cross-platform benchmarks, Windows 10 was most often in last place.

Similar to the LuxCoreRender benchmarks in this article and other findings in our different Windows vs. Linux benchmark articles, Blender continues to perform much better on Linux (and macOS) than Windows. Blender 3.0 remains noticeably slower on Windows than Linux for CPU-based rendering -- we have seen this consistently on both AMD and Intel hardware.

With the Indigo renderer, Windows was also in last place.

The proprietary Chaos Group V-RAY also saw the worst performance on Windows.
