In addition to OSPRay Studio, the Ryzen 9 5950X still gives the Core i9 12900K a run for the money in various Intel oneAPI software components.

From Embree ray-tracing kernels to the Open Image Denoise library, these current top-end Intel parts were battling it out for raw performance while consistently I was seeing the Ryzen 9 5950X consume less power than the Core i9 12900K.

For imaging programs like GIMP, Inkscape, and Darktable, Alder Lake continued to perform better while it will be interesting to see how Zen 4 fits into the equation.

Of course, for well-threaded imaging work like GraphicsMagick with OpenMP, the Ryzen 9 5950X with its higher core/thread count was performing much better -- and at lower power consumption.
