Linux 4.8 Intel P-State vs. CPUFreq Scaling Driver/Governor Benchmarks

For most workloads, the non-powersave governors tend to perform close to one another.

Keep in mind these tests are just looking at the final result and not the responsiveness of the system under multiple simultaneous tasks, etc.

Nothing too overly exciting and pretty much the relative differences are on par with what we've seen previously. If you want to dig into more result data, see this OpenBenchmarking.org result file. Via the Phoronix Test Suite (https://www.phoronix-test-suite.com/) you can easily reproduce the tests yourself on your system(s) to see how the performance and power consumption are impacted for the workloads of most relevance to your needs.
