With OpenJDK Java workloads, Clear Linux and Fedora Workstation 40 tended to be the two fastest Linux distributions with their packaged OpenJDK JDR/JRE binaries.

When looking at the Zstandard compression/decompression performance using the Zstd binaries shipped by each OS, Clear Linux continued offering greater performance than the rest. The optimized CachyOS was maintaining a second place finish in these benchmarks.

Clear Linux with its aggressive x86_64 performance out-of-the-box was showing some big speed-ups for C-Ray.

Numpy Benchmark benchmark with settings of . CachyOS was the fastest.

CachyOS and Clear Linux were showing some nice advantages for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. Numpy was already looking great on Zen 5 with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS but as shown there is the potential for even greater performance with other Linux distributions.
