Benchmarking AMD Ryzen 5 5500U Linux Performance With A $450 Lenovo Laptop

Across a wide range of workloads, overall the Ryzen 5 5500U came out strong for a mid-range laptop processor. The multi-threaded workloads were obviously in great shape with six cores plus SMT while in the single-threaded tests were about inline with expectations for a Zen 2 notebook processor with obviously the Ryzen 5000 Zen 3 SKUs will be more interesting there and working to get my hands on such a laptop for comparison.
