Motherboard Layout:
The dimensions on this D510 motherboard is the standard size for a mini ITX motherboard, 17cm x 17cm. On the right side of this motherboard are the two DDR2 memory slots, the CMOS battery is located at the top of this motherboard, and next to the memory slots is the 4-pin molex power connector for use with the included adapter. At the bottom of the motherboard are two Serial ATA 2.0 ports and the front panel headers. There are an additional two Serial ATA 2.0 headers found above the lone PCI slot on this motherboard. Immediately above the PCI slot / SATA ports is the NM10 Express Chipset. The Intel NM10 provides eight USB 2.0 ports, up to two PCI slots, Intel integrated 10/100 MAC, BIOS support, Intel HD audio, four PCI Express x1 lanes, and two Serial ATA 2.0 ports.
The NM10 is cooled by a passive aluminum heatsink and right next to that is the Intel Atom D510 processor. The Intel D510 is clocked at 1.66GHz and features two physical processing cores with Hyper-Threading to make for a total thread count of four. There is 1MB of L2 cache, is built on a 45nm process, and does support 64-bit software. Cooling this dual-core Atom is a small fan atop an aluminum heatsink. The max TDP for the D510 is 13 Watts and its voltage range is 0.8V to 1.175V.
As the Intel NM10 is only capable of providing connectivity for two Serial ATA 2.0 ports, Jetway has integrated a J-Micron JMB363 controller on this motherboard that provides two additional Serial ATA 2.0 ports off a PCI Express lane. Other ASICs on this motherboard include the Realtek RTM875T-605 clock generator, Fintek F71869ED, and Realtek ALC662 HD audio codec. The rear I/O panel ports include two PS/2, one COM, one VGA, four USB 2.0, one Gigabit Ethernet, and three audio ports. There is also a DC power connector as the Jetway NC96-510-LF requires an external power supply of at least 65 Watts that provides a +12V DC connection. An American Megatrends Inc BIOS is used by this Jetway IPC motherboard with just the very basic options and nothing to get excited about.
