With the Doom 3 benchmark there was not much of a performance change for the Intel Ivy Bridge graphics on the Linux 3.2 or 3.3 articles while with the 3.4 kernel the results were fluctuating more than normal. With the drm-next code there is an improvement by about 7% with this driver code that will be found in the Linux 3.5 kernel.

The Lightsmark performance goes up by just over 5% with the Linux 3.4 kernel and is maintained with the very latest Intel kernel driver development code.

Running Nexuiz on the Linux 3.4 kernel allows the Intel i7-3770K Ivy Bridge processor with its HD 4000 graphics core to run around 6% faster.
