Intel Haswell HD Graphics 4600 vs. AMD Radeon Graphics On Linux
When running Nexuiz, the Core i7 4770K with HD Graphics 4600 came in at about 57% the speed of the Radeon HD 4870 graphics card when it was using its open-source Radeon Gallium3D driver. This is quite good in comparison to the discrete RV770 graphics card considering its open-source support is now quite mature. The i7-4770K also easily outperformed the Radeon HD 4550 and HD 5450 graphics cards but came up shy of the HD 6570.
For the older OpenArena games, the performance of the i7-4770K was similar to that of Nexuiz. The Core i7 4770K with HD Graphics 4600 would be comparable to about a mid-range AMD Radeon graphics card when using the open-source Gallium3D driver.
