Intel Core Ultra 9 285K "Arrow Lake" Delivers Strong Linux Performance
The Core Ultra 9 285K was competitive with its 7-Zip compression performance.
For the Stargate digital audio workstation software, the Core Ultra 9 285K was typically running similar to the Ryzen 9 7950X/7950X3D prior-gen processors.
For the Blender 3D modeling software on the CPUs, the Core Ultra 9 285K was close between the Ryzen 9 9900X and Ryzen 9 9950X in raw performance but with higher power use. Surprisingly for Blender the Core Ultra 9 285K power use was even higher on average than the Core i9 14900K.
The Core Ultra 9 285K picked up some clear first place finishes with the C-Ray ray-tracer.
The Core Ultra 9 285K also performed very well with the LuxCoreRender rendering software although on a performance-per-Watt basis wasn't too appealing.
