With Intel's Embree tests, the AMD CPUs have the advantage with AVX-512 and in the case of the Core Ultra 5 245K was performing lower than the Core i5 13600K/14600K processors.

Like the Core Ultra 9 285K, the Core Ultra 5 245K story is more interesting when looking at the performance-per-Watt.

The Core Ultra 5 245K performed well with the QuantLib quantitative finance software except for having hangs with the DDR5-8000 memory tested.

There was very nice uplift from the Core i5 14600K to Core Ultra 5 245K with the BRL-CAD software.

OpenFOAM benchmark with settings of Input: drivaerFastback, Small Mesh Size, Execution Time. Core Ultra 9 285K @ DDR5-8000 was the fastest.

The Core Ultra 5 245K with 14 physical cores also performed very well with the OpenFOAM CFD software.
