Intel Arc B580 Battlemage Linux Workstation Graphics Performance
With the CATIA-06 viewset at 1080p, the Arc B580 performed very well: 32% faster than the prior generation Arc A580 and 21% faster than the Arc A770 flagship for Alchemist.
Making the strong showing of the Arc B580 in CATIA-06 all the more impressive was the better power efficiency compared to the A770 and A580 (as well as A750) graphics cards.
The one viewset where the Battlemage graphics was regressing due to presumed driver issues was with CREO-03. In the CREO viewset the Arc B580 was much slower than the A580 and the A770/A750 graphics cards... Only in the CREO viewset regardless of resolution. Hopefully the Intel Iris Gallium3D driver sees a fix here soon.
With the ENERGY viewset in SPECViewPerf on Linux, the Arc B580 was just faintly faster than the A770 but around 33% faster than the Arc A580.
The Intel Arc B580 led in the energy viewset for a nice upgrade to power efficiency.
There was nice uplift out of the Intel Arc A580 in the MEDICAL-03 viewset too for both raw performance and power efficiency.
