Windows 11 vs. Linux Benchmarks For Intel Arc B-Series "Battlemage" Shows Strengths & Weaknesses

While Xonotic isn't exactly the most popular game out there, it's one of the few open-source games and that are of similar native quality on both Windows and Linux. Here with Xonotic we see a clear behavior of the Alchemist GPUs delivering similar or better performance between Windows and Linux. But with the Intel Arc B580 it's much slower on Linux than Windows.

While not a popular game, YQuake2 with its native and similar quality builds on both Windows and Linux is another title showing a clear difference between Intel Alchemist and Battlemage graphics cards when testing on Windows 11 and Ubuntu Linux. Linux on the Arc A580 and Arc A770 were faster on Linux but Windows is much faster for the new Arc B580.
