Windows 11 vs. Linux Benchmarks For Intel Arc B-Series "Battlemage" Shows Strengths & Weaknesses

Counter-Strike 2 benchmark with settings of Resolution: 1920 x 1080. Windows 11 24H2: Arc B580 was the fastest.

Counter-Strike 2 at 1080p showed great uplift from Intel Alchemist to Battlemage GPUs but with the Windows performance being much faster.... The Windows driver was running at 1.27x the performance of Counter-Strike 2 on Linux with the same hardware.

Counter-Strike 2 at 1440p and 4K continued to heavily favor Windows 11 for the best performance but at least Battlemage relative to Alchemist was showing strong generational improvements on both platforms.

HITMAN on Linux with the Intel Arc A-Series ran into hangs with the latest driver code while Battlemage was running fine. Unfortunately though the Windows 11 performance was at around ~1.64x that of Linux for this game running under Steam Play on the Arc B580.
