When it came to the x264 video encoding test, the Core i7 Intel CPUs came out ahead.

The i5 Skylake processor on Fedora did manage to leap ahead of the previous-generation Core i7s for the Himeno pressure solver test.

The Core i5 6600K is able to build a default Linux kernel in about 100 seconds.

The i5-6600K also had a strong showing with the C-Ray multi-threaded ray-tracer.
