For x265 video encoding, the Core i9 10900K was the fastest of the CPUs tested under Ubuntu 20.04 Linux.

For the LuxCore renderer, the Core i9 10900K was still falling short of the Ryzen 9 3900X.

Similarly, for the Stockfish chess engine the Core i9 10900K was behind the Ryzen 9 3900X.

The high clock frequencies of the Core i9 10900K did help out for code compilation tasks like Apache and GDB.

But when it came to compiling the Linux kernel that has more files/jobs to exploit the multi-core potential of the chips, the Core i9 10900K fell behind the Ryzen 9 3900X and took just over one minute to build the Linux 5.4 LTS kernel.
