Gentoo Linux vs. Linaro ARM Benchmarks
Gentoo ARM stable scored a significant win with N-Queens.
Linaro was back on top when looking at the Sudokut solver running on it.
The OpenSSL signing performance was the same between Linaro and Gentoo.
Thanks again to Gentoo's Robert Sanders for the ODROID-X Gentoo setup for this performance benchmarking. Gentoo stable tended to perform better than Linaro 12.08 on this Samsung quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 development platform, but the two distribution vendors chose different default compilers, which explain the differences for some of the ARM Linux test profiles.
To compare your x86/ARM system's performance to the numbers found in this article, with the Phoronix Test Suite installed, it's a simple matter of running phoronix-test-suite benchmark 1209028-SU-ODROIDX3891 to conduct these fully-automated tests.
