The multi-threaded C-Ray ray-tracing benchmark performance is relatively flat from GCC 4.2 through 4.6 in this latest test configuration, but with GCC 4.7 it's looking like there will be a very nice performance boost.

While the OpenMP-based GraphicsMagick performance has evolved quite nicely since GCC 4.2, with GCC 4.7 (at least as of the development snapshot used0 there's a rather noticeable performance regression across the tests used.

In some cases the GCC 4.7 performance regression in GraphicsMagick is dropping it back to its GCC 4.2 levels.
