GCC 5 Brings Some Performance Improvements For Intel Broadwell Systems

In other tests, GCC 5 was just ever so slightly faster with this Intel Broadwell system.

FLAC and MP3 encoding times regressed slightly with the GCC 5 generated binaries.

HINT and Apache saw significant performance improvements with GCC 5 in its current stage of near-final development.

More of these benchmark results can be found via OpenBenchmarking.org. Coming soon will be tests from other hardware as the GCC 5 release approaches.
